Preemptive Alliances: Black Attorneys General On The Frontlines For Civil Rights From the attack on Black museums, the renaming of army bases after Confederate generals, the dismantling of DEI to the proliferation of racism in political discourses, we are seeing a targeted assault on Black knowledge, history and people. To speak to this moment, this conversation will bring in pioneering Black attorneys general Andrea Joy Campbell (Attorney General of Massachusetts); Keith Ellison (Attorney General of Minnesota); Aaron Ford (Attorney General of Nevada); Letitia James (Attorney General of New York); and Nick Brown (Attorney General of Washington) to speak to how this assault on racial justice erodes the very possibility of democracy. Bringing together tireless advocates for justice, this keynote panel will include attorneys general who will join together to outline how they are resisting the use of law to undermine civil rights and are using their positions to defend our aspirations for a multiracial democracy.
